Nino Lepore

NinoBorn in Modugno (Bari, Apulia, Italy), he studied Viola in the academy of music “Niccolò Piccinni” in Bari under Aldo Ferraresi and Francesco Antonioni’s guidance.

In 1977 he took part in Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Bari as “Concertino delle viole”. With the Petruzzelli Theatre he was often on tour (Usa, Norway, Il Cairo, Spoleto “Festival dei due mondi” – Italy – USA etc.)

Graduated in 1989 in the “Accademia Inernazionale di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale” in Pescara (Italy) as conductor, under Mario Gusella and Donato Renzetti’s guidance, in 1993 he was named as Artistic and Permanent Conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Bari.

During his activity, he conducted the Orchestra Sinfonica d’Italia “Fondazione Guido Cantelli” (Milan); the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Bari; the Ensamble “Archi della Scala” (Milano); the “Orquesta Do Norte” (Portugal); the Florentine Chamber Orchestra (Firenze – Italy); the “Orchestra Filarmonica of Veneto Malipiero” (Treviso, Italy); the “Symphony Orchestra of Grosseto” (Italy); the “Orquesta Sinfónica Nacional Argentina” (Buenos Aires); the Orchestra “Virtuosi di Praga”; the “Symphony Orchestra of Plock” (Varsavia, Poland); the “Visalia Simphony Orchestra” (California, USA); the “San Angelo Symphony” (Texas, USA); the “University of South Carolina Symphony Orchestra”; (USA); the “Jazz Sinfònica Orchestra” Sao Paulo (Brasil); the “Philharmonic Orchestra of Acapulco” (Mexico); the “Japan Classic Orchestra” (Tokyo); the “Orquesta Sinfónica UANL de Monterrey” (Mexico); the Symphony Orchestra of Maracaibo (Venezuela)”; the Philharmonic Orchestra “Marea Negra” (Costanza, Rumania); the “Orquesta Sinfónica Do Algarve” (Portugal); tne Orchestra of Conservatory of Oporto (Portugal); the “Orchestra da Camera of Friuli Venezia Giulia” (Italy) and other chamber groups.

Composer, he has recorded for “Poligram” his first LP, followed by other musical creations and arrangements (with record companies as RCA, Tring, BMG, AzzurraMusic).

He has composed soundtracks for various films all presented to Venezia, Cannes and Berlin movie festival. He has also composed various soundtracks for Italian RAI programs and background music for theatre plays.

In 1993, he won the first prize to the Bucharest (Rumania) International Competition of “Arrangements for Rhythmic-Symphonic Orchestra”.

During the years 2000-2002, he was Artistic Conductor of the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Bari, with Maestro Roberto De Simone.

Actually, he is Production Manager of the Symphony Orchestra of the Province of Bari (Italy).
